Honda Civic Type R 2018 FK8 Gaungkan Pesona VTEC Turbo!

Kedigdayaan label Honda Type R kini dibebankan pada bahu Honda Civic Type R, sebelum nanti Honda NSX Type R muncul. Kalau dulu memang ada banyak model Type R, mulai dari Civic, Accord dan Integra, namun sekarang hanya Civic yang masih menyandang label kudus Type R dari Honda. Kondisi kian sengit dengan rival-rival macam Ford Focus RS, VW Golf GTI dan Renault Megane RS yang kian mengurangi kadar “bercanda”nya.

Honda tidak mau ketinggalan kereta. Di gelaran Geneva Motor Show 2017, Honda Civic Type R 2018 berkode FK8 sudah menyingkap tabirnya. Berbasis Civic hatchback, Honda membiarkan imajinasi desainerya tumpah sebanyak-banyaknya di mobil ini. Dibandingkan Honda Civic Type R Prototype yang muncul tahun lalu, versi siap produksi ini tidak memiliki perbedaan signifikan. Saya senang, warna khas Honda Type R, Championship White kembali hadir di atas panggung.

Bumper depan sangar dengan sirip-sirip udara yang juga terdapat di fender merupakan desain yang dikembangkan dari Civic hatchback biasa, namun kini Honda Civic Type R pakai hood scoop untuk pertama kalinya. Di kaki-kakinya, tersimpan tiga jurus berupa ban hi-performance, pelek 20 inci yang gahar dan rem Brembo berkaliper merah yang menggugah batin. Pada Civic Type R FK8 ini, unsur aerodinamika jadi perhatian spesial.

Maka dari itu, sekarang bagian kolongnya dibuat lebih mulus dan licin supaya udara mengalir lancar. Di sektor buritan, ada Vortex generator di atap dan sebuah spoiler model gawang yang duduk manis. Tiga buah knalpot di Civic Type R ini mungkin bukan selera semua orang, bahkan cenderung ricer bagi beberapa pihak. Mencolok di jalanan? Pastinya, soalnya jarang hatchback pakai knalpot 3 biji di tengah. Paling banyak saja 2 kan? Oh ya, FK8 ini lebih rigid 38% daripada FK2 yang digantikannya.

Interior layaknya Type R pada umumnya, didominasi nuansa hitam-merah, detailing carbon fiber dan jok bucket spesial khusus Honda Type R yang mendekap dengan mantap. Sudahlah, lanjut deh ke intinya, yakni mesin 2.000 cc 4 silinder VTEC Turbo berkode K20C1. Bagi pasar Eropa, mesin ini sanggup memuntahkan hingga 320 PS dan 400 Nm, dan itu sangat besar. Semua itu lari ke roda depan saja melalui girboks manual 6 percepatan.

Sedikit mencolok memang, di saat beberapa kontestan sudah AWD, Honda masih FWD. Mungkin ini hanya masalah waktu saja. Untuk pertama kalinya, Honda menyematkan teknologi rev-matching di girboks manualnya, supaya mesin mampu mencari putaran yang ideal saat driver melakukan downshift alias turun gigi secara sengaja. Jika anda pengemudi profesional, bayangkan saat mengerem dan turun gigi dengan teknik heel and toe, kira-kira seperti itulah maksudnya.

Ada 3 jenis driving mode yang bisa dipilih : Comfort, Sport dan +R. Mode +R untuk di sirkuit, Sport untuk menjadi anak nakal di jalan raya dan Comfort untuk mengusahakan kenyamanan buat pemakaian harian. Sistem ini mengatur karakter suspensi adaptif, respons setir, gas dan feeling transmisinya. Jujur, saya paling penasaran dengan mode Comfort-nya, soalnya Honda Type R FK2 yang pernah saya icip sedikit punya bantingan yang laknat karena suspensinya keras sekali.

Honda Civic Type R 2018 akan dibuat di pabrik Honda di Swindon, Inggris. Setelahnya, ia akan disebar untuk memenuhi permintaan di Eropa, Amerika, Asia dan beberapa daerah lain. Indonesia? Ah, pasti datangnya via IU, dan ingat, harga Civic Type R versi IU sekarang sudah 1,5 M lebih, dan itu adalah banderol yang cukup laknat. Jadi, kami takkan kaget andai harga Civic Type R 2018 ini menyentuh 2 M saat sampai di sini.

EA Resmi Umumkan Need for Speed Payback!

Setelah rehat selama setidaknya satu tahun, EA dan Ghost Games akhirnya memperkenalkan seri terbaru untuk Need for Speed yang rencananya akan dirilis di tahun 2017 ini juga. Teaser pertama yang dilepas beberapa waktu yang lalu memang tidak berbicara banyak soal gameplay seperti apa yang akan ia usung, namun memberikan satu gambar screenshot untuk menerka seperti apa kualitas visualisasi yang akan diusung. Ghost Games sendiri secara terbuka mengungkapkan optimisme mereka untuk mampu menawarkan sesuatu yang berbeda dengan seri teranyar ini. Keluhan yang muncul di seri Need for Speed sebelumnya, yakni fitur always-online, sudah dipastikan tak akan ikut serta di sini. Ucapkan selamat datang pada PAYBACK!

EA dan Ghost Games secara resmi mengumumkan Need for Speed Payback untuk rilis tahun ini. Sekilas, Anda akan menemukan atmosfer serupa  film action Fast & Furious. Menjadikan tempat bernama Fortune Valley sebagai setting utama, Anda dan kru Anda akan bergabung untuk satu misi yang sama – membalas dendam The House, seorang kartel yang menguasai kota lewat jaringan kasino, kriminal, dan polisi korup yang ada. Ghost Games menjanjikan fitur kustomisasi yang tetap kembali, baik dari sisi performa ataupun visual, dengan desain misi yang intens pula.
